United Fireman Fire Mark
Cast iron fire mark for United Fireman ‘s Insurance Co., Philadelphia, Pa. Steam engire with “U and “f F” on either side. Cast iron Fire Insurance protection building marker. Marks were placed on insured buildings as a guide to the insurance company’s brigade to fight the fire. Marks were discontinuted when brigades were directed to respond to all fires. Marks were placed on insured buildings as a guide to the insurance company’s brigade to fight the fire. Marks were discontinued when brigades were directed to respond to all fires.
